Newfound Regional High School
Français AP: Devoirs d’été
Monsieur LeBaron
Here is a list of the summer assignments for AP French. All of the assignments are on Google Classroom. Please go there to do them. Assignments 1 through 4 will count as first quarter summatives.
1. Show me you understand what AP French is.
2. Read, watch, and listen to things French.
Using the links provided, please read, watch, and listen to at least 15 minutes of French a week (for a total of 2 hours), and fill out the Google form in the assignment each time you read/watch/listen to something. I highly suggest you do this throughout the summer rather than all in one sitting. The point is to be regularly engaging with French.
3. Brush up on and learn some new grammar.
I’d like you to explore some grammar websites to figure out what you need to work on most. You can do a little bit at a time, but I’d like you to spend a total of at least 1 hour doing grammar exercises on line, and keep a log of what you do. The log form and suggested links are in the classroom assignment.
4. Learn the summer vocabulary.
The list is here. There will be a quiz during the first full week of school. English to French.
5. Assess your grammar level.
Please take the test here. You will need to create an account by signing in with Google. At the end, there is an explanation of your rating, your strengths, and your areas for improvement. Send me a screenshot or PDF of that page.
6. Find three great French songs to share.
The more we listen to, the better our March Madness brackets will be.
